Lukas Langen honoured for best master’s thesis in mathematics

Paderborn, 09.07.2024 - The graduation ceremony of the Faculty of Computer Science, Electrical Engineering and Mathematics at Paderborn University took place on 28 June 2024. This festive event also honoured this year’s graduates with the best master’s theses. achelos, the system house for cyber security and digital identity management, is a sponsoring partner again this year and has presented a cheque for 500 euros as prize money.

The ceremony included a keynote speech by Manuel Hartung (Chairman of the Board of the ZEIT STIFTUNG BUCERIUS) entitled “Die verunsicherungsfähige Universität”.

Thomas Freitag attended the graduation ceremony on behalf of achelos. He personally congratulated the graduate on his excellent master’s thesis entitled "Multiscale analysis on spectra of Hermite matrices" and presented him with a cheque from achelos for 500 euros. The achelos managing director is very keen to sponsor and promote young talent at Paderborn University, as he also graduated in electrical engineering from the same faculty.
