The use of the encryption standard TLS (Transport Layer Security) is also specified in detail in the various application-specific TRs of the BSI.

TLS Services by achelos

The open-source TLS test tool "TaSK" of the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) tests Transport Layer Security (TLS) configurations according to the test specification TR 03116-TS.

achelos developed the TaSK framework on behalf of the BSI and offers a comprehensive package of support and extensions around the BSI solution. Manufacturers and test centres can thus test the security and TLS conformity of software efficiently and flexibly.

With the TaSK Framework, you have a powerful and flexible test tool at your disposal with which you can test your devices and software for relevant safety requirements in a cost-effective and efficient manner.

Cost-effective

The TLS test tool "TaSK" is available free of charge and is provided as an open-source solution under the EUPL (European Union Public Licence). The Linux-based solution enables the complete, automated testing of all requirements from the BSI Technical Guidelines for TLS Server, TLS Client, eID Server, eID Clients, e-mail servers and smart meter gateways.

Transparent and flexible

The open-source business model offers complete transparency of the test implementation and the possibility to make your own adjustments. Via the REST interface, the test suite can be conveniently integrated into your own development environment and existing test systems. In addition, the open-source version provides a basic reporting and an audit-proof documentation function to ensure the traceability of the test implementation.

On top of the open-source solution, achelos offers a comprehensive service package of support and extensions. Starting with standard support, through individual adaptations, to taking over test execution and the operation of a publicly accessible test platform, various expansion stages are available to you.

Our support and service offering

Support

In the Standard Edition, our offer includes basic access to the achelos expert team for questions and support, access to the ticket system and the provision of current releases of the BSI test suite from the Github repository.

The Enterprise Edition includes all services of the Standard Support and is complemented by extended access to the achelos expert team as well as continuous enhancements, such as a web GUI for simplified use of the test suite.


 

Consulting, TaaS and extensions

We are happy to support you in adapting the test suite to your individual requirements. For example, further segment-specific test cases can be integrated, or additional components can be connected. The achelos team ensures that your individual solution also fulfils all BSI requirements.

Managed Services
